No kidding. They are way too big. They're like friggin air brakes. I race Corvettes and have side mirrors half the size of these things.it has nothing to do with my height. I'm 6'1". It has to do with this giant mirror that I can't see around. You'll notice it next time you're in your 370.

Elan 07-06-2014 03:19 PM

The 350 mirrors looked much better. My friends and I joke that they are F150 mirrors!

winnre 07-06-2014 03:27 PM

I want to eliminate the mirrors and just have little rear view camera instead.

Agreed. The 350 mirrors do look better. Craft Square is always a (sexy) option if one does not mind losing the electronics.

I noticed the first time I test drove it a couple of years ago.

Down force ... that's my story and I'm sticken' with it. :driving:

ayrton88 07-07-2014 04:45 PM

I agree about the mirrors. When I first got the car I almost pulled out in front of a car at a 4 way stop just because I couldn't see him. I'm used to it now and pay close attention. They really are bigger than necessary though. Then again, I drive my girlfriend's Miata quite often and it's wing mirrors are too small.

Malm 07-07-2014 04:48 PM

My complaint is just with the gas prices. With the actual car? None really. I do wish the base model brakes were just a little nicer looking. Even on the 2014s, they look like they have been sitting in a bucket for years waiting to be used (which may not be far from the truth)

Glennm27 07-09-2014 09:57 AM

My 2nd complaint

I actually do have a 2nd complaint about this care, minor but still a disappointment. I bought a 2014 coupe with Sport package so I end up with the base radio which seemed fine to me.. AM-FM-CD with 4 speakers. That's how it's described by Nissan literature.. Fine with me. When I get the car I'm thinking the rear speakers aren't working. I go into the radio settings to see if the FADE setting is set correctly. It was, dead center (50% front-50% rear) THEN I realize the 4 speakers they speak of are all FRONTS, one in each door, 1 in each upper corner of the dash. Really? What a crappy set up that is....

...and my experience with the Bose set up is that the two tiny subwoofers over the spare aren't much help...

kenchan 07-09-2014 11:43 AM

why do you even need rear speakers on this car anyway..

consideirng people were buying s2k cr back 2009, it kinda surprised me the base even came with a radio (and ac) :icon17:

Tazicon 07-09-2014 01:27 PM

I found in the best cars you don't even want to turn the radio on..............

This car is just a daily driver for me. Nothing special. It has speaker grilles in the side panels behind the seats and the radio has a FADE control. SO, why should I not want or expect rear speakers?
And why shouldn't it have AC?

You guys apparently have different ideas of your intended use for these cars than I do.. Just an inexpensive car to get from A to B for me...

My last car the exhaust made such a nice sound that the radio only went on once in 6 years and that was just to see if it worked lol

I feel your pain, yes the stock audio system really sucks. I had an 09 Z that had the base audio.. just bought a Touring model and the Bose stereo is 200% better!

LOL, hopefully Glen will tame the beast. I tried and failed.

So the back speakers on base are empty ?

Make sure to tell us a few more times how it's a cheap car to get from point A to point B.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm not quite receiving the proper amount of "smug air of superiority" quite yet.

But yes, absolutely, when I buy a base model + sport package, I don't expect to open the door where the navigation goes and find no navigation system any more than I expect to find no speakers behind every single possible mounting location. Then again, I'm stupid and unreasonable like that, it's one of my faults.

Yup, thought and did the same thing. I dynamatted the doors and the base audio sounds better. I'm fine with it as I don't make the music loud at all. Listening to the engine/exhaust note while driving definitely makes me feel better. :driving:

i could be wrong though....

I had a 2003 350z Touring and the only problem I had was window streaks, otherwise the car was rock solid for 85,000 when I traded it in. :worship:

MagmaRed370z 07-09-2014 05:32 PM

Just joining this thread. Biggest complaint is the exhaust sound compared (stock for stock) with my 350z. Other than that the car is awesome!!!!!

Solomatrix 07-09-2014 05:46 PM

my biggest complaint is that i don't have a 370z

Also a new owner. My only complaint is that I work from home and barely need to drive it! 350 miles in 3 weeks!

You can solve your own problem by driving when you don't need to. :tiphat:

My wife and I did our shopping in the Z for well over a year. It actually had more room in the back than our G37 had in the trunk. I never minded it as it had plenty of room for our needs. But then again we are empty nesters.

I guess I could move my cargo box out of the middle of the trunk
