Default Your Most Ridiculous OCD Move

After bringing my perfectly clean Z home from taking delivery at the dealer, I hand washed and waxed her. Alright, that's on the edge but still defensible. But then I bought an order of those heavy paper floormats dealers sometimes put in your car when they take it in for service. Since getting them, my never-touched-by-a-driver's-shoe, beautiful big red Z Autosport floor mats haven't seen the light of day---and probably never will. Is that sick or what!

Doesn't the crinkling sound of the paper annoy you?

I don't like when my floor mats are dirty, but I don't think I'll ever take these precations. I'll just vacuum and make sure I don't have dirt or dog **** on my shoes when I get in the Z.

I would rather just have to replace the mats in a year to keep them new looking, instead of driving around with paper covering them up. If I were that concerned with them getting wear and tear.

I'm on month 5....though I did drive my Z twice this past month...

Roads were dry and clear...but still some areas still had salt/sand remnants, just where I chose to drive it did not!

We're supposed to get hammered Monday, which means...

1) the bike comes out of hiding and gets ridden to work and band practices
2) the Z will be coming out for it's first bath of the year!

Well I do the same, it has been a practice of mine in all my cars. I use the thin ones, it will protect your OEM mats big time.

BTW, I'm PR.

hmmm protect the stuff that protects stuff. so now we have to protect the stuff that protects the protected stuff. I love it. It could be an endless cycle. Youd end up with a foot high of foot protection.

That's pretty funny, man. I left the paper floor mats on the passenger side for about a week...until my girlfriend got pissed about it and I decided she was right...haha.
