There is a drought of MT transmission touring with sport package in my area and I may have to get an AT. I am trying to convince my ego that driving an AT will be "good" enough rather than no 370z at all.

If your friends call you a bitch just challenge em to a race. Its like my brother in law laughs at me cuz I carry a 21 shot 9mm on my waist and a 8shot .32 in my pocket. (Both inox italian berettas) According to him. Neither pistol have no stopping power. He thinks "if the caliber doesn't have a 4 or more. Its not worth comin out your bore." I told him "take 40 paces and let me shoot you with my .32." After I said that he stopped laughin and said. "I don't mean it like that, I'm sure it can kill me." Same thing goes with the sh1ttalkers of the 7a/t.
So let em talk, I bet they can't show and prove though...

Other than that. I say either tranny is hot. That 7at in paddle mode is a crazy good auto. Its not like driving and auto rx8 or auto GTO. The 7at kicks serious azz.!! Test drive the 7at. You will be impressed. The 6M, well you know the drill. Less precise shifts but your fun factor may increase some. It just depends what your expectations are from the car.

Many(including myself) dont consider going up against someone who just has to step on the gas a race. I tell that to my friend who drives an auto 350 and he is on the verge of tears every time lol.

Unless it is on a twisty course somewhere it is just an e(a?)-peen contest either way. It really will come down to the car most of the time in that sort of situation -- unless you are driving the exact same car/setup or something.

The 7AT is smooth when you want it to be and sharp as tack when you put you foot down and use the paddles, it has rev matching on the down shift similar to the manuals, best of both worlds and suits my needs where I am now. Have owned a MY08 350z Track Manual and it was great car but the time was right for an auto.

Drive both transmissions from the dealer over the same road for an hour each in all types of traffic and roads, you will know which is right for you. Go in with clear head either way the 370z is a great car.

I had 3 cars that were manuel. I knew I wanted a auto when I was looking at a 370z roadster. Yes, it does suck when your in stop and go traffic especially here in Tampa!! Believe it or not there is a higher demand for auto sport cars. When I traded my Tacoma X-runner in the sales man was like it's stick? Well, it only comes in stick... So I'm thinking to my self most ppl like huling stuff in auto... I'm glad I got auto and no regrats about it one bit!!!
