Does anyone regret their transmission decision?

So you've had your Z for a while....

Does anyone regret their transmission decision after having had their 370z for a while? Basically, what I am asking is does anyone regret getting an Automatic transmission over the Manual Transmission? Or Vice Versa? If so, why?

I've been wanting a Z for a long time now and I finally may have the opportunity to get one. Unfortunately, I don't have time on my side and if I am going to get one, I'll have to get my Z by March 30th. I am currently unable to find a car in the area with all of the options/color/specs I want which means I may have to compromise on something.

Unless you absolutely prefer one, either will make you happy in the pants.

I would say this, get what transmission you want, then options (first being sport/non-sport followed by extras - base/touring, etc.), then color.
You will deal with the transmission everyday, then the comforts, and only see the color when outside of the car.

Happy in the pants..SUUURRE!! haha...But no..I don't regret a thing...besides not having the persimmon leather :( I have the 7AT, but to me it's the best of both worlds w/o having to deal with a clutch :) Even if I could drive stick, which I can't..never learned....I'd prefer auto..its a tad faster and easier to drive

I think for some of us, its half and half...when im in twisties or whenever there's open road and im able to drive without traffic, sure, i wish i had a manual. Every day when im stuck in stop n go traffic though? man, it sure is nice to have that auto.
when i feel like i need more control over the car, i swap over to the paddles. this past weekend i spent the whole time in manual mode just cuz i wanted to. is it the same? not quite, but its enough for me.

If you plan on a big power build, you'll want to go with the manual, for heavy traffic situations, I can see how the auto would be nice, but man, theres nothing like bangin through the gears down the strip, nothing beats hitting that perfect shift and hearing that VQ engine screaming like a jet turbine...

There are times while sitting in the D.C./Baltimore traffic that I wish I had gone auto.

But overall I am absolutely satisfied with my decision to go 6MT.

I am in Dallas, too. I know what you mean about stop'n go. :) Especially on 635 and the DNT.

I'm a guy. I bought a sports car. It's a manual. What was the question again?

LOL, Awesome! :)

There is a drought of MT transmission touring with sport package in my area and I may have to get an AT. I am trying to convince my ego that driving an AT will be "good" enough rather than no 370z at all.

Just prepare to be jeered and called a "bitch" by all your guy friends...:rofl2: No offense auto owners, but it happened to me before, and I died a little inside each time:(

NOPE... don't try to reverse psychology yourself. I see a VW Beetle in your future.
