Check out this video...

YouTube - Subaru WRX and 350Z at Road Atlanta (HPDE 1)

It's a lap in my WRX and then a lap in my 350Z at Road Atlanta.
Sound advice to be sure I enjoy a good track day myself... But no worries man, everyone's just being a little sarcastic.

ll be the first to say I plan on garaging mine! It won't see rain, snow, salt, etc. I like to keep my rides pristine! I will have 4x4 used/beater SUV to be my DD. I plan on driving my Z like I mean it, but only when it is beautiful weather! In my opinion, I owned a 2007 350z as my DD and it was a travesty to have to see it be driven in the snow and rain! I have a friend with a 2003 Ford Mustang Saleen, he bought it brought brand new and after five years it only has 4,500 miles. He enjoys it, but he still keeps it in show room condition!

I'm driving mine as much as I can whenever I can. It will be out in the rain (otherwise it would be out for two weeks a year on the Wet Coast . I'll cry after the first paint chip but its not gonna make me park it in the garage for the rest of the week. This is a performance vehicle and I'm going to get the most out of it as I can. Don't get me wrong I'm going to take care of it and it won't be thrashed upon but I'm not going to baby it. I'm buying this car for me. I don't care if other people like it or not - its the car I want. I'm not trying to change my image with my car - just change my daily driving enjoyment Ride it hard and put it away wet I say.....

The problem with most people “driving like they stole it” is that far too many drivers have overly inflated opinions of their driving ability - most drivers reach the limits of their driving abilities long before they reach the limits of their vehicle’s ability.

There really isn’t anything heroic about driving significantly over the posted speed limit or weaving in/out of traffic just so that you can get to where you are going 15 seconds earlier…likewise with “beating” some other jerk/adolescent in a street race.

I absolutely agree that there isn’t much point to owning a vehicle just to let it sit in a garage but that doesn’t mean you have to take a vehicle out in all kinds of weather and/or thrash it around public streets to “enjoy” it.

You can drive “spiritedly” without being an idiot about it but if you really want to test your and your vehicle’s limits and your own, take it to the track!

Great video! My car is garaged at my house of course. But I drive my cars, hard. That's one of the reasons I get rid of them before the warranty is up!
