Shimmy/Vibration Light Braking?

Does anyone have a vibration and/or shimmy when they brake upon approaching a stop. I can take my hand off the wheel and watch it shake shake shake. Warped Rotor?

Warped Rotor? out of balance? Bad tire?

My car barely has more than 8,000 miles and it has stock wheels and tires so I hope maybe its just natural with this car and not a more serious problem

Does it go away when you drive for a few miles, or is it consistent throughout the whole drive?

How fast are you going and how hard are you braking? That's normal when the brakes are pretty hot.

90% chance that its warped rotors. 10% chance it could still be something else.

I found that if you notice your going to approach a red light, slow down WAY before the stop, via engine braking or just coasting. then when you do come to a stop, keep the car moving about 1/2 mph to avoid the hot pads from setting in on the rotor. do this for about a week and most of the vibration will go away. (this works on my tacoma, have not had the issue on my 370z yet to see how that is)

when your pads are really hot from a hard stop, and you stop completely, the rotor thats in contact with the pad will stay very hot while the rest of it cools down, thus causing the "warp"
