What I always do if I want to keep the car running while going in somewhere real quick or warming it up in the morning is just take the keys

What I always do if I want to keep the car running while going in somewhere real quick or warming it up in the morning is just take the keys with me and then press the lock button on the door. Unless I'm fooling myself here...no one can get in the car and steal it since I am the only one that can unlock it when I get close to the car...
