Sratch shield paint should have been called clearcoat-guard because that's what it actually did. If u scratch the car with a brush while washing or rub something that may put a mild scratch in the clearcoat. The self healing coat will repair itself within 3 to 7 days. It works very well. Most people think it will heal the actual paint when it is damaged. That is not the case.
Unfortunately, infiniti did away with scratch shield for 2010 deeming it too expensive to produce at the G pricepoint. The 370z does not have scratch shield paint and I doubt it will since they couldn't afford to keep it on the G. |
