Hello. It sounds like you had a crappy install. Depending on the film if the edges were wrapped etc you can't really see it at all. The entire mirrors can be covered, it would have to be done in 2 pieces, but if seemed perfectly together you really can't see that either.
At any rate, put the car in the sun and let the panels warm up etc. If the film is laying down at 0 degrees, slightly pull up at 5 degrees and stretch off.
