The fact you refer to it as a "game" means you should spend your money on Forza 3 or similar games.

You can get all your fast and furious out in that, and it not cost you a dime (in real dollars) to fix it, yourself, or other people.

I was referring to modding/tuning.

For an idea of what originally made mme think of this topic:

Alex Roy reviews his dream car: the Audi R8 Blackbird — Autoblog

Alex Roy, currently locked in an M5 with our own Damon Lavric, recently got a video tour of a rather nifty Audi R8 owned by someone who insists he remain nameless. Codenamed Blackbird, the coupe is stuffed with enough gadgets to be a testbed for NASA's shuttle replacement, but don't for a second think the interior resembles a jungle of wires, screens and antennae: all the electronic gear is seamlessly integrated in a most impressive way. A sample of the wares in the blacked out supercar with the gunmetal gray blade include four GPS units, two radar detectors, police scanner, CB radio, kill switch for all rear lights, high-speed broadband Internet with Wi-Fi running on a tablet PC, power ports, takedown lights, a remote-controlled exhaust bypass valve, and -- get this -- a liquid-cooled infrasonic wave pulse generator. Apparently, you don't want to stand by that last item if you wish to have children. Follow the jump for the whole story in moving pictures.

I get the idea...in Ohio, tickets do equate to heightened insurance - for years.

Get a good BEL (I use a V995) or V1 and I think the retractable license plate is a great idea.

Personally, I've done 60k miles of road-trips in 44 states in my Z32 and have yet to get a ticket. The CB definitely helps - ESPECIALLY if you're with others.

Speed smart...if you're unsure if the fuzz is about...keep it 5-over or less. just my two cents...

Have a friend who is a State Trooper and the advice he gave me is 8 MPH or more over the posted speed limit is what gets their attention. Situations such as weather, traffic volume and driver reactions play a role in their decision making.

If it is 2AM with little or no traffic you may perk their interest at 7 MPH over, but they do prefer the bigger prize for reasons of safety. Switching lanes quickly and tapping your brakes at night (dipping headlights) increase your chances to get pulled over.

If you get selected as a guest speeder, be respectful and man up. Your chances of getting a break are much better if you tell the truth instead of making up a bunch of tall tales. You may not get out of a ticket but your actions and how you present yourself in that short 3 minute window may get reckless dropped down to regular speeding. Most State Police officers are former military and they have heard and seen it all.

Enjoy the car, nothing limits you on how fast you can get to the legal speed limit as long as you're not spinning the tires! And remember, no matter how fast you think your car may be, it's hard to out run the radio!

Down here it's 5 MPH over. Weird. Guess each police/trooper station has their own policy. BTW, in 2 years I've owned my Z, never have I been stopped for speeding; I did get a ticket for changing lanes w./o. signaling...$25 real McCoys that are gone!

over in NY its usually 15mph over and you will get stopped. You could drive by a shade under 70 and be ok. To be honest most of the cars I see pulled over are pos.

Hurray another reckless driver. next month we can have a report on him killing somebody thanks to speeding.

it always annoys me seeing people blast past me especially when its wet. here its mostly BMWs that speed. worst I have seen was some BMW flying past me on the highway at about 120 MPH while it was utterly storming. Oh yes and this happened 5 minutes after I passed a crash where the car's front was just gone.

I always try to respect the speed limits. I admit it IS hard especially since 60 mph now looks like your going 30

look dude. i had a V1 and it saved my *** plenty of times.

but now that i have turbos, they get my *** into trouble all the time. but they also get me out of it. by the time the cop pulls out of wherever he/she was hiding, im already gone.

if you are on the highway speeding, and you see a cop nail you, most likely you are going 75-85 mph. it'll take a while for the cop to catch up to you.

he'll have to go faster than you are to catch up to you. if you are going 75mph-85mph thats a football field around every 3 seconds. it takes 15 seconds for a crown vic police cruiser to get to 80mph. 10 seconds for a 5.7LV8 charger police cruiser.

so just so you know you have plenty of time to to get off on the next exit and come to a stop. If the police officer just happens to not see this happen then your golden.

I would like to quote everybody's favorite street racing movie (Japan edition):

Quote:
Shawn Boswell: What the?
Han: Police cars here are only factory tuned. If you can do better than 180K they can't catch you, so they don't even try.
Shawn Boswell: You know what, I'm beginning to like this country already?
i guess we all know what goji was watching before writing that response

In all seriousness, what's the best way to create the "ULTIMATE STEALTH Z"????

...obey the goddamned laws.
