the noise didnt sound like it was coming from the transmission. It felt like it was coming from the rear end. Could it have been the posi transferring more power

the noise didnt sound like it was coming from the transmission. It felt like it was coming from the rear end. Could it have been the posi transferring more power to the outer wheel?
