Newbie 2019 S-Mode not working, tried everything

Looking at your fuse box image, left column, upper slot (empty) is #1. So #3 and #4 is electric parts and meter.

That said, I ended up unscrewing the shift boot bezel which released the switch and I noticed I could get a clicking actuation out of the switch, indicating that my button was not getting enough travel and was always being pressed. I added a washer to the screw nearest the button which keeps the shifter bezel and the ring together. This ensured the additional button travel and actuation which has my S mode working even today.

Edit: I see OP bought a new switch so my thoughts may be null :/ hope the dealer figures it out.

The dealer couldn’t fix, they say it’s the switch, the switch is brand new. Plus now my hvac goes from cold to blistering hot in one click. So upon reassembly, they didn’t plug something back in. Now I have to drive all the way back again. Plus my shift knob wasn’t screwed on, and the leather is damaged, and my CD is gone from my head unit.

At this point I’m angry, very sloppy service! WTF!

This is why many despise the dealers!!

Have you tried activating S mode with the switch detached from the shift bezel? I'm curious if my solution would work for you. If it works, I'm happy to pull out the bezel and snap a few pics of my washer spacer mod.
