The motor had a cracked head, and bad valve guides.

Not original motor in that truck...'77 offered the 351M and 400M in lieu of the 360/390 from previous years.

I know because I own a '77.

I know....splitting hairs.

In my Z I just use Mobil 1 oil and filters.
