I bought an Injen CAI and even thou it wasn't as easy to install since they provide you with a new windshield washer reservoir and you have to remove the pump and place it on the new reservoir which takes some time and care not to damage it. I love the look and sound....

I got stopped for a loud exhaust and the officer looked for other illegal mods. Had me open the hood and looked for CARB tags on my intake. I could tell he was surprised to see a tag on mine. I have Takeda CAIs. Fought him in court for the loud exhaust ticket but that is another story.

I have the Z1 long tubes, DEI gold-wrapped, and my intake temps are a consistent 7 degrees above outside ambient when the Z is moving.

When you are idling in traffic. The temps go up on all. The shorties more then the long tubes. Once you start moving. The long tubes will cool off quicker then the shorties. For the shorties. All of the heat under the hood has to be gone before they start to cool down. Unless their inlets are close to the factory openings in the rad support.
