Please tell me you had the front frame welds checked before you bought it. There have been some R8’s scrapped because of front frame/ shock mount failures. I believe this plagues 2008 to 2010 models. Not sure though.

I have not heard about this. I HAVE heard the shocks need replacing and it is a bit over $10K. Not sure specifics.

I'm debating between an R8 and a 991.2 911 but not going to jump on either for a few years to save as much ca$h as I can.

Thanks for the warning but I did a lot of research on the car and I know about the shock mounts. I had an certified Audi tech give a inspection of the car and everything is great. I’m getting new coil overs because when they go I’m not spending $7k for new ones and I know about the granny and how to drive the “auto” like a manual. Thanx dude
