Default Another one saying "Goodbye to the Z"...

NOT ME! But...

My brother who bought his 2016 Magma Red Sport 6MT exactly one week before I bought mine is getting rid of his.

It makes no sense to me honestly. He has always complained about the typical clutch feel and the jerkiness in 1st and 2nd gear, and that the car makes him have to "think" about each shift.

I've told him multiple times to solve the issue by purchasing the RJM clutch pedal or get rid of the stupid CSC (one thing I still want to do with mine), and that either of those will solve the issue. But for whatever reason, he refused to do it. In fact, the car is still completely stock after 2.5 years.

I don't know. Maybe there's other aspects of the Z he doesn't like and he's not telling us, or he's growing out of his second childhood. LOL

So come Monday or Tuesday, he's trading in the Z or a new Alfa Giulia in white. Granted, if I didn't absolutely love my Z and didn't have all of these mods on it, I'd probably do the same. Those Giulia's are damn nice, even the turbo 4-bangers. Then again, they only come in autos, so I'd never buy one.

Lol. He's gonna love how fast it shifts but complain about how many trips he'll be making to the shop. Btw, glad it's not you getting rid of the Z.

Actually, I drove one a while back. It didn't shift all that fast. It's a pretty quick car though.

I love my Z, but I would take the Alpha too....but not with an automatic. Surely, Alphas in Europe must be offered with a manual.

I was notified when the first Giulia Quadrifoglio arrived at my local Alfa dealer (which is also owned by the Nissan dealership next door). Signing up well before the decision for no manual in the states, I was soundly disappointed when the sales people said no plans of bringing a manual here.

I sat inside - a bit smaller than I’d prefer for a sedan, but the handling and character of the car was phenomenal. BUT... no manual. Upgrade plans moved aside.

While the standard Giulia’s drive decently, have adequate power - their character is much different than the Quad (or Z). A bit less engagement (and no r#&:@;!! manual), but nicer ride quality and acoustics. Perhaps that is what ur brother is looking for.

Never been fan of Alfa's. Especially their front but judging from his choice of car/price, I would have gotten the m4 for a little more money

I disagree. It's a beautiful car all the way around, including the front end. And it's not the Quadrifoglio. It's the 2.0L turbo. Only 280 hp but still more torque than a Z at 306 ft lbs.

I've owned BMW's. As bad as the Italian reputation for quality is, I'd take my chances before I'd ever buy another Bimmer. Crap. Plus, I think the Alpha is just gorgeous.

The Giulia QV and M4 are both awesome cars; and preference of one over the other is subjective.

The Giulia is more raw than the M4. The M4 could be considered more refined. I wouldn’t mind either, prefer the Giulia, but got neither - no manual, Alfa; WTH?!?

Yep...I also didn't think this car was all that good looking, especially the front end, until I saw one in person. It's quite a looker in real life.

Don't blame Alfa for that. Blame it on the fat lazy Americans for only having autos over here. Alfa offers manuals everywhere else in the world as well as a diesel model... With a stick!

The Giulia as well as the 4C are very good lookers, but so is the Z IMHO. I just love a car with perfect sculpted curves, and all three of these cars have it.

I agree. It's pretty obvious that most people over here don't care about the driving experience. I can't believe we have to have cars that keep you in your lane, stop you from following too close, etc. People just can't be bothered to even pay attention to driving, let alone shift for themselves.
