The old say is "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth." Fix the issues yourself. It looks like most of this stuff can be fixed anyway.

:iagree:

Sure fire way to end up on the couch.

Lol how is the car falling apart and 2 years old? Holy

Looks like the paint and wheels be taken care. Wife had to threaten them with a lawsuit. They couldn't answer any of the question why did it past inspection.

Paint and wheels wouldn't be my concern. I'd be worried about the engine state after being driven 2-1/2 qts low on oil. Who knows how bad the sales or tech guys tore it up on the street before selling it.

I must have glanced past that part. yea... if the car is going to be kept, you'd better have some kind of agreement for X amount of years for FULL coverage. Or copious amounts of sammiches as reinbursement.

I have
paint cracks
1 bent wheel so far
3 curbed up wheels
paint chips
headliner installed wrong and separating on left corner
dented Nismo logo on shifter plate
faded passenger seat
steering wheel suede dirty and coming apart
2 1/2 quart of oil was low
dirty filthy air filter
exhaust leak
non Nissan front rotor
ebrake doesn't hold
non matching tires
front lip faded and chipped looks textured

I am lost. They have been ignoring me and said every Nissan does the certified different. Nissan consumer affairs said the same thing too and they don't know what a Nissan certified preown condition suppose to be in. I have an appointment tomorrow and need some help.

This thread turned into a bunch of nonsense pretty quickly. I don't think I'd appreciate a page worth of useless info and jokes on my wife, but that's just me.
OP, like others have mentioned, it's clear the car was abused. My 15 CPO nismo was in great condition and I checked everything, including the fluid levels, side-by-side with the CPO check list. I've also come to learn that when a dealer says a car is CPO it's just words coming out of their mouths. You have to find a way to ensure it really is. At the end of the day it can just be a piece of paper with a check list.
I can tell you for a fact your car was not certified based on the things you have been telling us such as the low oil level, bent wheel, non matching tires and exhaust leak. From the top of my head I know the CPO check list calls for all fluid levels being topped off, for the tires to be matching (at least for the front and rear sets), and for the air cabin filter to be replaced. Those itself should be a dead giveaway. A lot of the other things you mentioned are negligible as they are cosmetic and, depending on the dealer, free to fix (headliner, curb rash, etc.)
Paint chips are expected, no surprise there. The headliner thing sounds weird, but fixable. Dented nismo logo in interior and faded passenger seat sucks, but is what it is. The steering wheel suede can easily get dirty, but if it's actually coming off then, yeah, you might want to get that checked out. The non Nissan rotor and the "orange peel" paint you're talking about on the front lip just sounds so sketchy. I've come across a lot of Zs that have loose ebrakes. Not saying it's normal, but at least it can be tightened.
All in all, this car sounds like **** and there's definitely a story behind it. I'm not entirely sure how your wife bought it for you in the condition it's in w/o her checking anything. Just my opinion, but, if I were you guys I wouldn't bother trying to get anything fixed - I would demand a refund and just give the car back. Sounds like they took a month to write up a CPO check list for you.
Do you have any info on the car you're willing to share with us? Dealer, VIN, price you paid, mileage, etc??

OP, I feel really bad for you. My 2011 Nismo was CPO with 7,000 miles on it. It was almost spotless. They put 2 new rear tires on it and aligned it just before I bought it. They missed the chips on the rims. I took it back and they fixed the rims.

But this thread just got so much material in it. I have to hold myself back. :rofl2:

I've cleaned up the shenanigans going in here.

KEEP IT ON TOPIC or I'll be handing out red flags!

Op,

Sorry to hear about whats going with the new purchase.

I can only hope it gets resolved and you end up with what you wanted.

It's positive to hear the brutal truth. Stop downplaying life problems and let folks work it out even if they are subjected to harsh criticism. (Putting on my mittens and entering my safe space.)
