Default Looking to jump back into a new Nismo

Hey Fellas, long time no see. I’m looking to jump back into a Z (I owned a Magma Red Touring Sport) but this time a 2019 Nismo. I found a dealer that’s selling one for $43999 plus tax and license. Is this a good deal or should I keep looking?

Thanks.

Are you set on new? I know this is the Z forums... but I think that's an absurd amount of money for a 370Z in 2018. You could buy a barely used one and save yourself 10k.

Yeah I figured that was still pretty high. And yes, I rather buy new but will consider a very, very, very low mileage one that’s still under warranty.

Generally, CPO’s will have the remaining warranty, if any left, carry over to the next owner. Also, you won’t take as big of depreciation hit buying used.

Regarding the price you stated, it depends on the options added to the Nismo. IMO, I think $44k is a fair price. I bought both of my 370Z’s used and both previous owners left the original MSRP sticker sheet and maintenance records, and both Z’s were in the $42k range (of course, these Z’s had all the bells & whistles).

Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find many used CPO’s in the country (Searching in Autotrader only) and the ones they have, are selling in the upper 30’s.

I’m gonna keep looking, hopefully I find a brand new one at a great price..

Technically, you could ask the dealership to certify, though you would most likely paying a bit more. And the only real benefit of a vehicle being certified is the warranty. They’re going to have to inspect the vehicle prior to selling anyway, certified or not.

And you mentioned “country”, meaning you’re willing to travel? If so, you shouldn’t have a problem finding one, esp with CA having one of the highest cost of living and generally, location does play a factor in the vehicle price/value.

Hey OP,

I'm not sure of the market on the west coast, but I think that's way too high and a bad deal. You should be able to do 40 or just under OTD. Just be patient.

Yeah, I’m in no hurry to buy and will take my time searching for the best deal possible, I know it will come..

Thanks for your input

I wasn’t gonna travel but I’m willing to have the car shipped as long as it’s brand new.

What's the story on the 14.... I remember you were really starting to personalize it with some modifications ?

I sold it and got a Audi TT roadster. The car is great but lacks excitement and the aftermarket for it is very limited.

Like everyone that sells their Z to jump into something elsea d. One right back, I also ended up missing the 370z sound and fun factor, so here I am... looking to get back in.
