actually, most vehicles do automakers keep building new models even Kia and Hyundai have sports models that ppl flock to get them because they are cheaper unfortunately for them the depreciation is almost 50% right out of the dealer's parking lot. I'm just happy I didn't sell/ trade mine, no matter where I am there is at least one person who gives me positive comments about my baby

Compared to what? Typically, Japanese cars tend to hold their value better than American/Korean cars.

Depreciation will hit hard if you purchase new and not as much, if any, on pre-owned.

Only if you sell it privately, take a look at what the dealers use, KBB, Edmunds etc. as trades you get raped

Yes, dealership will always try to low-ball you, but, even kbb, nada, etc. will generally call for higher figures on, for example, a Honda Civic vs. a Ford Focus (same year/options/mileage/condition/etc.), thus yielding to a higher payout/trade value.

For a Japanese sports car the Nissan 370Z overall is a wanted vehicle in the car market and people like the 370Z model as Nissan really can’t make them fast enough for there demand from customers. For the first five years and beyond of ownership overall the 2009-2018 into 2019 Nissan 370Z has excellent resale value and are reliable/dependable vehicles to own. Comparing to the Korean made 2014 Hyundai Azrea 3.3L V6 I use to own the 2017 Nissan 370Z I have is worlds better. The 2014 Hyundai Azrea I had lost a lot of it’s value with in the first two years of ownership and was the most unreliable/undependable vehicle I ever owned. All Japanese vehicles have better resale value and overall value than American and Korean vehicles sad but true. Be selective of what vehicle you decide to purchase. Take the time to do your research and shopping when purchasing any vehicle.
