I have been wanting to change them since I bought my Z, not a fan of the OEM ones.

No matter the age of the 370Z, the curves and shape of this car will never be obsolete/outdated.

It's been a while.

Just sold my daily. Using the cash to fix up my Z. Targeting the following parts at 143K + track days:

Water Pump
Thermostat
Timing chain, tensioner, and guides
Oil Gallery Gaskets
Silicone coolant hoses

I thought about the ATI super Damper but i dont NEED it.
I also read thru the threads on upgraded oil pumps. also looks like i dont need it but ill trust my OEM one is fine for now. Oil pressure reads well within spec still with original gaskets and pump.

If i can sell the Advans off my old Subaru, I may get something special...

Oil change. Dealer was saying Nissan discontinued Ester oil so recommended Mobile 1.

Started the Z up this morning in the garage.

Usually roll it forward or backwards a little bit once in a while over the winter storage to avoid flat spots forming on the tires. Excited for spring to come.

You do know that you can just inflate tires to 3bar ~ 43psi and there will be no flatspots?

Is that right? I've never really looked further into it. Just going off of an old motorcycle winter storage routine I've followed for a long time. It also gives me an excuse to take a few extra sit in the car.

Why not change your own oil?

Sometimes I do. Sometimes scheduling is easier to have them do it.

Driving around today, I noticed my oil pressures are higher? Seems strange but the car sounds fine. Regardless I ordered some parts:

Silicone Coolant Hoses
CZP Gallery Gasket Kit
Water Pump
New OEM Coolant Tank
ATI Damper
All the necessary Seals

Going to talk to Austin Z clinic to see when they can schedule me. Hoping its a week job at most. I skipped the chain and guides. I haven't found enough evidence that they're a problem on our cars. Best to leave that to an "inspect, then replace if necessary" state when it goes to the shop.

Edit: Ordered MD Headers with HFC *evil laugh*

You don't need an excuse to enjoy your car. Whenever I want to do that over winter, I just go and apply some leather conditioner on it ;)

there's no reason to store a z in toronto winter!

Necessity, no, but reason, yes.

With some good winter tires it would be ok 99% of the time. But my Z is lowered without a winter wheel setup and I'm lucky enough to have a fun spare car to use and a parking space available for it.

I've seen a local white Z that kicks around year round. Hope he/she is having a blast with it :rofl2:
