Put on hub centric rings and a Fast Intentions crash bar I got used from
Z1, and started prepping front bumper for Carbon Fiber lip. It’s upgrade season!

Got the EPR front lip and side skirts on. Just the subtle accents I wanted without lowering it.

Yup, that’s next up in January: multi-stage paint correction, clear bra removal and headlight restore. I’m not performing myself.

So over the past weekend I was replacing my Brainiac Tablet setup with a Kenwood DMX958XR, bigaudiofanat was helping me.

We found the battery completely dead (~5V). I had a Optima Yellow top which was about 2 years old. So even that I haven't driven in the past 6 weeks but that won't leave it completely dead. Anyway nothing was left on that I could tell so after about a half hour hooked up to his car we were able to get enough charge to get it to turn over and fire. In the process of the install we noticed that the brake light stuck on, so I am guessing the switch is sticking.

Ran my car for another half hour and completed the switch over, it's a pretty nice head unit and I have replaced the battery because while it's probably fine for a daily driver I've heard AGM batteries lose much of the CCA being so totally discharged and running it only every few weeks isn't enough to keep the charge and turn the engine over.

Why did you go back to a traditional stereo from the Braniac? Bigaudiofanat is a huge help with all the AV stuff, great forum member.

Mine isn't a daily neither and I have a Bosch AGM battery. I put the charger on weekly to top it off and always before turning it over to wake it up. I'd do this with any battery as to not cause undue stress.

Well the immediate reason is when I upgraded my tablet the cover didn't fit correctly anymore and they don't make/sell on that does (the bottom buttons are covered). Going back to the original tablet I cracked the printed backing and just said, enough.

Don't get me wrong, I like the tablet, but it does have limitations, a few of which I managed to get around, others I couldn't. Volume, Phone, and backup camera being the top issues of mine.

Completed maintenance on my Z a few weeks ago.

Oil change using the Nissan 5W-30 Ester oil, Nissan filter and crush washer.

OEM engine air filters.

OEM cabin filter.

OEM right side hood/fender rubber seal.

OEM U shaped shield that goes under the car between the mid pipe and drive shaft.

OEM belt, belt tensioner and all three idler pulleys. There was a birdie in my engine bay.

Also had to lube up my front right brake pads since they were squeeking.

My Z is almost at 100k. I'm the original owner and it's been pretty solid.

Whiteline bushings into OE front UCA's and Carbon Fiber instrument cluster lid. :yum:

I went with bushings only over fully adjustable UCA's as at best the car is used for spirited street driving and I don't have an issue with tire wear due to OE suspension geometry. I noticed my front negative camber increasing over the past few alignments to the point were it was 0.01* from being out of spec. Picked up some 5k mile UCA's and slapped the bushings in. I don't notice any additional NVH over OE bushings and they may be even "smoother" as the UCA's I replaced had 13 years and 99,650 miles of wear. Feedback and responsiveness feel better than the worn OE units as well.

So excited to receive my Invidia Gemini CAT back exhaust today. Going to be a long week until my local muffler shop can install it.

Installed New Center Cap

I bought a 3D printer a while ago, and I'm always looking for little things to do with it. I decided I didn't like the standard chrome Nissan hamburger center caps, and I couldn't find any others that I really liked, so I decided to create my own.
What do you think?

You can do this yourself, it's just a wrench job. Also, you'll love the exhaust, I'm so happy with mine.

Same on the Gemini, love it.
Install was super quick with the right tools, the hardest part was figuring out the orientation because it’s an Australian manufacturer
