Repaired and powder coated my wheels!

These 370Z wheels are one of my favorite wheels from a manufacturer for a car in its class. Unfortunately, previous owner had curb rash on all 4 wheels, so I had them repaired and powder coated in a light gold color with a satin finish. It’s subtle and, in my opinion, makes the red pop, especially the calipers.

Happy with them so far. Hope to achieve a better look in the near future with coilovers and spacers.

Will post more pictures once I get it clean!

You can buy ester additive if you really want it. I did but valvetrain etc. noise was more prevalent sooner than with Liqui Moly Mos2 or Ceratec when using M1 0-40w in all trial fills.

Shoutout to Mariella at Motordyne. She's taking care of some missing gaskets and clamps. Excellent customer service whenever you call in!

Headers go in on Monday.

Lasfit LED headlight conversion now in play. I haven't tested on the street yet but went from 3200lm Osrams to 5500lm LED.

Instead of removing the bumper cover to swap the HID driver out for LED driver; I simply pulled the splash guards unplugged the harness from the HID driver, plugged it into the LED driver and plugged the LED driver into the LED bulb through a waterproofed hole I drilled in the headlight bulb cover.

This provided for a faster install. Additionally, instead of removing the HID driver and wiring (to the HID bulb) it's all still in place if/when the LED's fail and the HID spare bulbs need to be quickly swapped back in. ;)

Had a BLAST driving the track today. After all the suspension mods, regardless of the car being stock-ish, it behaves incredibly well, was able to easily connect drifts up to several corners in a row, be it hairpins or longer curves. The newly installed oil cooler's kept oil temperatures cool, reaching a max of 110°C (230F), but mostly being around 100°C (212F). The OS Giken diff behaves excellent, super predictable and locking beautifully, and new tires I put on (245 in the front, 255 in the back) are just great. While not a fully square setup, I maintain stock rims and it all works very well. Super happy about it.

Filled blown rear diff bushing with epoxy, changed diff fluid, installed z1 diff brace and transmission mount, took off intercooler piping to fix rubbing issue and put on some new t clamps, fished out a bolt that had found it way into the radiator fan rattling around... test drive with a e85 fill up

This is a real mod!

Any mod that involves removing panels, running wires, resin, a catalyst, a mat, elbow grease, and a lot of sanding is a real MOD and should be appreciated.

Picked it up a couple days ago from having tint redone. Old tint was starting to peel on the driver’s side window and wasn’t really dark enough, so I all of it redone with ceramic tint which will help keep the heat out here in Texas with spring and summer coming up soon. Huge shoutout to Xpel who did a great job! Highly recommended.

There’s a couple minor things I wanted to do that I’m putting on hold for now to focus more on performance. Looking to order Berk HFC this week then intake (not sure what brand yet) and then move to upgrading the suspension so the real fun can begin lol excited to share everything with you all here!

I have ceramic on my work truck windshield and it does zilch to keep the heat out. Found out the expensive way it's simply a UV protectant, the metal based films are what reflect the most heat.

I was finally able to get over the wall of California. I drove my Z from Southern California to Salt Lake city, Utah. The Z ran perfect! I moved out here for work and I even got a raise. I'll never live in California again. I'll only be back to see family and go to Yosemite, Napa Valley etc.
