I finally found the source of the f-ing rattle underneath my car: Loose secondary O2 sensor.

While I had the car in the air, I washed the insides of my wheels and installed some new center caps. (i washed the rest of the car too). I'm hoping to get the ethanol sensor later this month and install that. The tune needs to be touched up. I also need to grease my sway bars.

I woke up.
I went downtown to look for a job.
I hung out in front of the drugstore.

Started work on replacing a blown oil gallery gasket, got it all the way back to the point where i need to set timing and ran out of time to do it, rest of it goes back together this weekend :)

Yanked out my jammed CD player. RIP CD player of nearly 12 years! Rescued 6 CDs though.

What did I do to my Z today...

I just back into a 370Z after selling my Silver 2011 a couple of years back.

Bought a Pearl White one for more than I should have but, the best bang for buck on the market.

I had to sell my previous Z for cash to pay bills. Now I am in better shape and it looks like the new design in not my cup of tea. So, I figured what is $3K more to get just the right Z.

This is what I did today:

Clay bared it, Cermic coated it, checked oil, air filter, bought chrome license plate frames. Found and installed my old 2011 rear cargo mat. Sanded down front splitter from previous owner letting it drag on driveways too much and took a few pictures for friends. After all that I sat back and had a drink toasting to the fact my beauty is back in a brighter color... Pearl White. Photos coming.

:eekdance:

Installed Whiteline diff bushings. Had I known they would be seized in place and take many hours just to remove, I would've brought it to a shop.

Went for a drive and picked up groceries. I finally have the Flex Fuel kit (with the fuel line and sensor) on the way. I'm going to have a shop install that because I don't really want to mess with fuel lines in my garage, and it's maximum 1hr labor. I can easily do the wiring myself. It will be nice to know exactly what quality of E85 I'm running lol.

Oil change, grease the sway bar bushings, rotated the tires side to side, check the torque on the rear axle nuts on the Z. Much needed to be done. Way over on my miles.

Also washed the truck for the first time this year. Took a pressure washer to the cap, and watched big pieces of clear coat get peeled off. :rofl2: Going to wax it tomorrow.

Nice to see everyone is enjoying there cars. I gave my car a pep talk so as to get him ready for the Sunday cruise.

Think I will drive to Monterey or Carmel.... Heck both.... If you see a White 370Z with a guy grining ear to ear.... That be me tomorrow....

Wrapped my B pillar covers with some Vivid matte carbon wrap i had laying around (was going to use it on the interior, but wrapping is harder than it looks)

Up close you can tell I didn't cut it completely perfect but looks ok from afar.
Going to be grabbing seibon real carbon replacements at some point anyway.

Set timing on the Z after replacing the oil gallery gaskets and discovered a nasty surprise that I'm not sure how it got there, but there's a small crack in the rear timing chain cover on one of the bolt holes directly above the thermostat housing. Did the best i could for now to prevent the crank from spreading until i can get it taken care of, she's back up and running, but it made it a bittersweet ending to the weekend
