There's only one bumper I want, but it doesn't exist: N-ONE Racing has the SUNDOME bumper for the 350Z and it looks absolutely perfect. Long nose, efficient design.
I just downloaded GT7..how's the game IYO?

Just picked up the OEM black housing headlamps for my Z. I'll be installing them this weekend. Gonna sell the stock ones. I'll be doing my differential service as well.

I enjoy it a ton. The physics have improved significantly. The cars are more sensitive to track surface changes and there’s a real difference between using the racing line and taking the rain line in the wet. So far I only have minor complaints which I think they will fix. They’re mostly menu related.

Oh yeahhhh...going into work late was worth it. Fresh off the delivery truck!

Box was pretty beat up, so I was worried. Luckily, hood was undamaged. Time for PPF and ceramic coating

Good luck.. mine has this horrid gap on the passenger side that they said was "within their tolerances" and they wouldn't refund

I'm sorry to hear that. I know every batch is a little different due to the molds and that it is rarely a perfect fit. I think that's part of the risk you take with these aftermarket carbon fiber hoods and being OK with the fitment. Fortunately for me, after playing with the hinges, bolts, and positioning, it fits pretty damn good. I'm very happy with it, I'm just hesitant on putting holes in it to use the hood pins I bought. I reused the factory hood hooks and everything seems to work just fine, but I've seen those videos where the hoods fly off the car SMH. Also, the instructions say to get it cleared again. I'm hoping applying PPF and ceramic coating will work in place of that, or even be better. Let me know if anyone has thoughts on this, please.
I'll post some pics tomorrow.
Did you try playing with the fitment?

Played with fitment all day. Issue is the hood actually curves in on the side by the battery compartment.

I put in Aerocatch pins. Utter PITA to install (about as bad as putting the trans back in alone with the Z on a quikjack) but ended up working well.

What was unfortunate was the hood started warping due to engine heat so the gap between hood and bumper is noticeably worse than stock. And I put the OEM rubbers back in

I think the fit is almost perfect on both sides. The front may have a slightly larger gap than the OEM hood, but it doesn't bother me.

I got back back from work and attempted to install the aerocatch hood pins...I just couldn't do it lol I couldn't get my self to cut through the hood. It fits so well and secure with all three OEM hooks w/o any extra pressure compared to closing the OEM hood. I opened and closed the hood like 20 times double checking everything and it seems solid - no play or wiggle.

The other thing I was reading about was applying heat reflective material on the underside of the hood. I know you said you experienced additional warping of the hood. Did you apply this? My only concern is, wouldn't the heat just be reflected back to the engine...

Installed an ikon OEM style wing today. Amazing quality for $130 factory paint matched. Install was super easy but I can't say it was comfortable drilling holes into a perfectly good car lol. It looks so good, very happy with the decision. My touring is one step away from being the perfect sport/touring without the silly s-mode

I did not apply it. The heat would def be reflected to the motor, and the idea behind heat reflective is so that the CF gel coat doesnt turn color. The warpage occurred at the front of the hood.

I remember the days when I received my cf hood and cf fenders from fly1. But things have changed. Moved on to bigger and better things.

Wavetrac going in. CJM twin pump kit with canister, 12 gauge wiring, Hobbs switch, and secondhand F.I. fuel return kit went in last week. ATI super damper and yellowstuff pads next.
