The Great Z is still..... It's the low rent used car buyers with that "I live a quarter mile at a time" attitude killing this forum. I know not every used car purchaser is a poser. Not saying that.... but sadly.... you get a lot of underachiever mentality in that bracket.

Some guys in the $12,000-18,000 price range that chose to buy a Z with 150,000 miles than an FRS with 30,000 miles... They shoulda chose the FRS.

Not everybody is crazy enough to spend close to 50k for a 10 year old design ^.^ I saw a couple Z's with 50k miles under 18k now so I don't think anybody in their right mind would get a FRS instead

idk those little FRS's look fun TBH. With their prius tires you can send it sideways constantly. & if you wreck it... F**k it, its just a FRS.... lol

I don't have any problems sending my Z sideways constantly, and I don't need Prius tires to do it. And you shouldn't be going sideways if you can't control that $hit without wrecking

Fun little test drive though

Scary moment was a water drift / hydroplane induced slide. Wasn't going too fast but hit some grooves with rivers and slid. Was a long tail hang unintentionally. Scary cause fronts also lost traction briefly which initiated the almost wreck.

Wasn't even pushing either which was the scary part.

I have trouble getting it sideways with re11s at street speeds.

The last time it happened to me... it was not so fun.

Completely user error on my part.... Check your tire tread! And don't use cruise control in the rain!

My z was 17000 and had 12k miles.

Why is everyone such babies about this? Its a performance car, like you never went over 100 anywhere with it?

Because admitting to going double the speed limit on a public forum isn't smart.

Why? You know how many lies exist on forums? Is there a real chance that state police are gonna come on a forum, look at the thread, track down the user, then keep a special lookout for a 370z going 125? As if they'd ignore it going 85?

In all seriousness, whats the maximum realistic negative consequences?

Chances are small that the authorities are lurking and looking for people bragging about their exploits. BUT ...

If you are in an accident where other people are killed/injured or other criminal/civil liability is involved, you can bet your a$$ that the lawyers know how to use Google and can easily find the comment(s).

Everyone does stupid **** from time to time. The key is to make sure there are no videos, pictures or other online evidence to be hung by. There's a certain segment of the population (damn dirty millennials) that seem to think that if it's not posted on social media it never happened. And then they act surprised when their video ends up being retitled "Exhibit A".

Like I said.... many not all.... But you can get a base Z with sport 33k. U talking the Nismo. N I can negotiate one down to $39k.

The Z is worth it even 8.5 years old. It's a unique car. Even old....

I know a lot of the OGs on here are getting upset with the forum being invaded by "Stance Nation" - but I think you will find that while the Changing of the Guard is inevitable, it is also not all bad. I think you are going to see a much bigger portion of the community keeping more of a DIY perspective and we should start seeing some new ideas out there as well.

Basically babies. Its not stance nation, its new owners. Stodgy old turds always get frustrated when new people come in.

Change is good. Change is inevitable.
