In a way this thread should stick around just to make an example of things.
People literally want to out themselves saying this stuff on record. It's not a matter of being a goody two shoes or being paranoid of Brian O'Conner showing up in his Eclipse, but how dumb it sounds to try and "flex" on the internet like this. |
Full confession and Ibtl. 135 with a boss lady on a LOOOONG empty fwy. Had to reel it in and scale down after seeing metal pieces, road debris, and realizing we oversee a lot of comma$ at work. We could have gone........

LMAO...some of you need your man card taken away, that is if you ever had one. Having a sportscar and never red lining it or hitting triple figure is just lame. It's the same as people that by 4x4 trucks and jeeps and never take them off the road.:gtfo2:
I love the self righteousness by some, don't get me wrong if you want to do stupid, just do it to you and you alone, but tell me you never raced anyone or reved your engine at a stop light or sped off from the stop light because you need...wanted to get into the other lane for whatever reason. All of those action are called exhibition of speed and are illegal...Give me a freaking break I didn't build a car to have over 600whp and 500 ft/lbs of torque to drive Ms ******* Daisy! I'm with Jar and others...I like to feel the acceleration on a hard run and taking a turn at the limit. Nothing but open long straight road out here and most cops only stop those that are doing better than 90 because they are a dime a dozen on the way to and from Las Vegas. I been told hitting 140 or 150 is not that hard to do given the right conditions. Come to the Big Dog airstrip event at ZDAYZ and I will take you for 125mph pull if you have never done that...and I'm slow compared to many others at that event lol. Anyway, be safe and have fun! I'm headed to Chuckwalla Valley Raceway this weekend and I think I will see 125 enough to get my fix till the next track day event next month.:driving: |

IDK you guys.
I regularly drive on highways in northern CA where i get passed doing 80 in the slow lane. Also I live in a truly magical foothill area that has fast but technical 2 lane roads with the occasional long straight sometimes 4 lane (2 each direction). I have come up on people thinking they were driving slow, blown around them and looked down to discover I was doing 130mph. I'm not trying to brag about this. It's just facts. I hit 120mph in the rain the day I bought the car, again, to my suprise. Not to say I don't intentionally drive fast. I regularly hit 100 when passing people, but I try to keep it legal on the cruise. Part of this may be that my DD 4cyl 2008 Frontier barely gets to 80 downhill, so I tend to cruise faster than I intend to.. But seriously, if you never use your cars potential, you may need to explore some new roads... |

I always launch if I'm first. 0 fks. Unfortunately my new rears don't bite as hard as re11 and that can cause some unwanted noise |

I enjoy revving and squealing the tires on launch but then pulling away from the line at about the same speed I back out of a parking spot with huge trucks on either side of me ;) |

Everyone does stupid **** from time to time. The key is to make sure there are no videos, pictures or other online evidence to be hung by. There's a certain segment of the population (damn dirty millennials) that seem to think that if it's not posted on social media it never happened. And then they act surprised when their video ends up being retitled "Exhibit A". |

I've never seen more than 130 on a racetrack... usually because there's a right turn at the end of the straight. Unlike the highway. *cough I'm fairly comfortable saying if you've done more than 130 mph, you were most likely on a highway. And yes, Fight Club rules apply. |

Meaning don't put anyone in danger from your reckless behavior. Here in the wide open expanses of Colorado we have perfectly flat stretches of concrete 4-lane that have clear visibility to the horizon, 50+ meter median/car traps between directions, and little to no traffic for hours at a time... Damn skippy you'll find folks in the triple digits out there, usually in six digit cars. The real problem is when "kids" (I use that term loosely) start being stupid in subdivisions or residential streets because they see threads like this and wanna be a racecar driver... Which is why we can't have nice things. :) |
