 I'm from j-land (pops brought me here long time ago and already left after he retired) and I decided to stay in the USA.. I luv it here, no way in hell I can have 4 cars all paid off no mortgage no credit card debt and still have money to spare at my age in j-land.
will probably move back when I'm about to croak though.

US consumers are price sensitive and it is also the largest. One way to get around this is to to build more factories here in the homeland. It already being done and the sign if the times. From all the vehicles I bought that were assembled in the USA or Mexico, there has not been one car (including j-car) with zero big issue.. 
but my GTI I bought last year, thing is probably better dan their Germany made GTI's. no issue!
