Nissan 370Z Clutch Problems Cause Class-Action Lawsuit | CarComplaints.com

Zbrah 12-12-2016 01:18 AM

Huu Nguyen is my ******* hero! Bad Nissan.

Hilla_killa 12-12-2016 06:31 AM

Its kinda screwed up thst theyve used the same shitty csc for what 7 years?!?! Like they dont know there crap. Nissan should pay for all to get the upgraded hdcsc from i think zspeed or z1 or whatever.

mattross1313 12-12-2016 06:38 AM

Had to repair mine recently as it failed whilst driving to work. All done and repaired at Nissan, but on my £££! Luckily I know one of the GTR mechanics who did the work for me on a Saturday. Still cost me a chunk!

Raidernation 12-12-2016 12:32 PM

now we need someone to start a fuel pump failure class action lawsuit.

We have fuel pump issues to dam!

Trips 12-12-2016 06:16 PM

This has been moved for higher visibility.

OptionZero 12-12-2016 06:33 PM

curious to see what the remedy is. I have a 2015 Nismo that has not (knock on wood) been affected, but it may very well soon. I actually have the Zspeed HD CSC sitting in my garage just in case it goes.

Spooler 12-12-2016 06:38 PM

Ordering my clutch and CSC now due to a recent issue. Upgrading the whole thing of coarse.

Seriously.. If anyone knows anyone there, send it to them. it would be hilarious to see their reaction to the entirety of the situation. :wtf2:

diego@vossen 12-13-2016 01:43 PM

Had this happen to my 2013 G37S 6MT within 1K miles.

So far all good on my new Nismo Z but expecting it to stick soon. I doubt will last :(

37zeroZ 12-13-2016 08:33 PM

Another reason for having an AT. For this reason, I'm out. :rofl2:

Nithmo 12-13-2016 08:46 PM

That's a terrible reason to have an AT.

Any reason is a terrible reason to have an AT.

Hmm so more reliable and faster times aren't good reasons. Interesting.

Honestly I was a manual guy forever and could do one again if not for horrible traffic but really the AT's today are not bad at all. Now could I say I wouldn't take a dual clutch if offered, well that's another story. Only thing I barely miss is the faster down revs with a lighter flywheel but it's not a big deal and I will admit the AT has saved me from possibly one money shift at the track.

Lets keep this on topic!

shirokenkami 12-14-2016 12:07 PM

I should send Nissan a bill for my CMAK conversion because of their shite parts.

hustleman222 01-04-2017 06:39 AM

Yep...I had my 2011 nismo slave cylinder go out, and had it replaced at the dealer. That was a big part of me going with a 2015 AT Nismo

hustleman222 01-04-2017 06:42 AM

I found this...I'll give them a call and tell them to check out our thread. That's the thread that informed me about the problem when I got it...I was able to go into Nissan and tell them what the problem was and they didn't **** me around too much.
Consumer Class Action Lawsuit Against Nissan (370Z Clutch Failure) | Nissan 370Z Clutch Failure

Dwight Frye 01-04-2017 04:30 PM

I'll take a piece of any settlement. I'm looking at over $1600 to replace the CSC and clutch master cylinder as well. Of course after the lawyers take their share I will be lucky to get enough for half a tank of gas....

DemandedAce 01-04-2017 05:14 PM

Would be nice to get anything back for this ridiculous and unacceptable failure by Nissan, but I doubt we see anything from it tbh

Hilla_killa 01-04-2017 06:35 PM

all we can do is hope. contact the law firm and they'll get back to you wanting information if you had any clutch problems. they contacted me after I emailed them wanting dealer receipts and anything else that may help them with this case. with all the csc failures on this forum we should be golden you would think

Spooler 01-04-2017 06:39 PM

LOL, I will send them my clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, and CSC bill for $1500 I just ordered. No way in hell I am putting that factory crap back in my car.

HapaZ 01-06-2017 11:52 AM

Found the docket and figured people might like an update on the case... looks like Nissan tried to file for an alternate dispute resolution to avoid trail on 12/21 but it was denied... Nissan is lawyering up with someone out of Texas as of this week.

Sweet you got a link to the docket info? It's online?

Yep, I just googled the plaintiff and defendant and there are several links. Here's the one I read through...

https://www.pacermonitor.com/public/...h_America,_Inc

Zbrah 01-07-2017 05:28 AM

Nice to see this moving forward. Anyone savy with FB and twitter want to help make this news go viral? Maybe linking it to Nissan corps' FB as well to get more attentions. How can the rest of us get in on this action?

Zoren 370 01-07-2017 07:13 AM

We need to get in touch with the plaintiffs lawer and provide him of numerous evidences of CSC breakdowns as evidence.

Looks like the lead attorney is Paul Riehle (415-781-7900). I'm sure he'd be happy to speak with anyone who has had their CSC go out, especially if they've got receipts to prove the cost of repairs. I would call personally, but my original CSC hasn't given me problems so I'm probably not of much use to their case... yet.

Dwight Frye 01-09-2017 05:23 PM

I got an email from one Karla Rubalcava. Different phone number from the one above. She wanted additional information. I called twice and left messages. No response. I will try the other lawyer.

HapaZ 01-09-2017 06:37 PM

Oops that number is for Nissan's lead attorney. You'd want to contact Karen Wallace (310-712-8159)

Nithmo 01-09-2017 08:46 PM

I'm a bit dissapointed that Nissan is still dragging this out, for as long as they have. They should've bit the bullet and did something about this issue, years ago.

I guess it's part of the reason Nissan customer satisfaction rating is so piss poor these days. They scored a whopping 58% satisfaction rating in the latest CR report, and came in 2nd last, of 28 brands.

killrain 01-12-2017 05:25 PM

Left a post on one of nissan usa instagram pics about why they havent addressed the csc issue or gave any info about the 370z successor. Haha

I did the same thing on their Nismo Sentra announcement on Facebook. I asked them if it was going to have Clutch Slave Cylinder and oil cooling issues like it's 370Z cousin. :roflpuke2:

killrain 01-13-2017 03:43 PM

Nissan USA deleted my post on their picture. Pathetic. Im posting another comment. Good job shirokenkami!

Redglare 01-13-2017 05:12 PM

What is the definitive address / lawyer to send CSC evidence to?

I am sure if we gathered all the 370 internet forums / reddit we could have a mountain of overwhelming undisputable evidence,

I feel like 2-3k per owner would be a reasonable settlement,

maybe have the judge rule on them to hurry the hell up with the z35 too lol..
