Default An adventure to be sure...

So I have a story for you all if you'd care to read, nothing too bad but it's my recent adventure with my Z. I just recently drove my Z to Rochester, NY to see my younger cousin. Once I got there I placed an order to Joe at ZSpeed for a CMAK kit and Master Cylinder for my '13 Z and this was after many hours of research on this forum. I'm sure and know many have had good luck with the Z1 kit and that is nothing against them, just my own preference and conclusion.

The parts were overnighted to The Little Speed Shop out of Rochester and they specialize in exotics and European cars but will work on anything. Their prices were actually quite fair considering the scope of the vehicles being worked on(Porsche Cup Series 997's, Ferrari 360 Modena Spider, Viper SRT10, E30 being converted into a cup car, and a SEMA build using a E90 drivetrain & subframe). Would I recommend someone else to pay to have this done? Probably not BUT the timeline worked well for me since I was already on a road trip and I knew that my car was merely a ticking time bomb just waiting to screw my bank account with tow bills, hotels, and the necessary parts and labor so I bit the bullet and had them do it for me while I was on vacation and just rode around with my cousin in his WRX.

The job was completed on Friday but I decided to pick it up on Saturday since they were doing a Cars and Coffee there at the shop. The guys there actually parked my car in line with the other cars from C&C so it worked perfectly and was very grateful for that extra mile of hospitality. I got in the car and drove it and man, the clutch engagement felt entirely different. It was far more direct and the engagement point was much closer(50% I'd say instead of the previous 75% out before it would grab) thus I am absolutely tickled with it.

The trip home was not as grand as a semi shotgunned gravel onto the front of my car chipping away the paint, spiderwebbing the front cover, and chipping the windshield. Well, it's reasons like this that I pay a steeper premium but only have a $250 deductible as THIS time it was $1800 in damages. Oh well, live and learn I suppose. Trying to look at the glass half full here.... Lol

might I suggest rjm clutch assembly as the next mod for you ?

You'll be able to set your clutch engagement point much closer to the floor, like most other cars lol.

That's actually on my short list along with a FI TDX CB-exhaust and a Z1 Oil Cooler.
