Mine was doing that whining last winter and I put it off 12 hours longer than I should have. Got stuck when I went out to lunch. Thankfully, I had a wrench in my trunk that I could whack it with, so it finally released. Pulled the fuse that night. Just a head's up once you pull it, mine sometimes takes longer to start. I'll hit the start button and nothing happens for a few seconds, then everything kicks in and starts. I don't know if everyone else has this happen, but didn't want you to panic if it happens to you.
