Your best bet is to make sure you do your research on the manufacturer providing the parts/kit and the shop doing the work and find one that is legit and willing to stand behind their work. I doubt you're going to find a warranty that will cover a bad tune or shop incompetence for aftermarket turbo installs or even random failure of parts. Some insurance might cover aftermarket body kits, but they won't cover the labor to make sure the panels are all fitted properly or custom body work.

If you're just talking about loss, then most of the larger insurance companies will work with you. Nationwide actually includes aftermarket coverage for up to $1500 as part of my policy. This covered my FI exhaust when it got bashed up by a chunk of concrete a few months ago. However, anything more will have to be covered by an additional policy, such as the CPE coverage that 2011 Nismo refers to. Talk with your insurance broker - you'll have to provide receipts and such to verify ownership and coverage amount.

Did you talk to Hagerty? I'm going through the same thing wanting to raise value to include current install of TT and future mods. They told me they would cover "Tuner Cars" There are some minor stipulations, need to send pictures, supposed to not be daily driver (not sure how they would know) Over 50K they require Lojak. I haven't gotten quote yet as I need to take pics and send some receipts. A buddy of mine has an LS1 powered Miata and he gets coverage from them, he mentioned he got the dollar value he was looking for and his rates actually went down compared to Geico.

I did talk to Hagerty, i think the issue there was that my car is a daily driver, but i'll try geico again.
