Default Turn Signal Clicker

Greetings all. Ok, a goofy question. In the olden days the turn signals were activated by a solenoid that provided an audible click. As technology changed there was no need for a solenoid and, hence, no click. The manufacturers provided an click through the sound system to remind us old guys that the turn signal was still on. On my 2010 roadster there is no click and a couple of times in the past few months there has been an instance or two that I have left my turn signal on for a while after the turn. Does the Z leave he factory sans clicker or do I have an issue with the reproduced click in the sound system? p.s. I may be old but I have yet to signal a left turn and then make a right from the inside lane. I think. Thanks, Don

Mine is the same way.

There are a few turns near my house where it routinely stays on until I flick it off myself.

Yea, it seems if you don't turn sharply for something like a 90° turn it doesn't notice. Like most of the freeway on-ramps around here aren't sharp enough to turn it off for me.

Just check the cluster if it's still on.

If all else fails, you can install your own noise-maker (piezo buzzer, relay, etc).

I consistently leave mine on when I change lanes in the highway, the sound is so faint that I don't hear it over my tires and music. It sucks because I hate to be "that guy" on the highway.

Be an Audi driver: Don't use your signals.
