On the other hand, a used ZO6 would be way better! Sell it + 10k would get you a real nice one. Still have a little left over for some minor upgrades.

but so far I'm getting the vibe is that if people have a chance to sell the Z ,they would.
and I know FI now seems a bit late. the idea didn't really cross my mind till now to FI it.

Two out of the three people in this thread suggesting you sell the car are functionally retarded and shouldn't be looked to for any type of advice whatsoever. The third guy has a pretty good point about the Z06, but the inside of one of them is just sad. A FI Z is a ton of fun, but they have their quirks.

thanks for the encouragement! I am getting the Blackstone kit soon and once I send it out for the OA
I'll perform a leak down and compression test and go from there. if all check out and I still have a relatively healthy motor I'll consider going SC on the GTM stage1

There is no more GTM.. but their products are being sold by Gamma. Most folks here will tell you to steer clear based on how GTM hosed a bunch of their customers, but I bought my TT kit from Gamma and had a fine experience... as have a few others around here that took a shot on them.

That being said, if you don't care about smog or CARB, you should get a BP kit. Easy to install, cheaper than TT... And since you are concerned about the health of your motor you can think of it this way - given the same whp there is less stress on the motor with the turbo (because you don't have to factor in the additional parasitic loss of driving the SC). I also think it would be easier to remove and resale if that day ever comes.

If you want to go TT.. I can't recommend the Gamma V3 kit enough. I love mine, and the parts fit like OEM.
