If it's a "light" tick, probably normal. I'd try barncobob's suggestion and put some fresh gas in the tank. If that doesn't help, I'd try the Nissan ester oil -

If it's a "light" tick, probably normal. I'd try barncobob's suggestion and put some fresh gas in the tank. If that doesn't help, I'd try the Nissan ester oil - it's supposed to quiet the noisy Z valve train.
If it's more like a knock, I'd get a mechanic to look at it ASAP.
