I miss the individual readouts for tire pressure, but at least I can rotate the tires side to side and not worry about where the sensors go now.

yeah but you only had to buy enthusiasts trim to get it back in the day.

to me enthusiasts trim was like the equivalent to sports option of today.

I don't like nor want leather so touring was not for me.

I'm confused about the stiffer suspension and tigher/shorter shifter being on the 350Z - not on any 350Z I've ever been in.... my friend is always bemoaning his shifter and going on about how he wishes he had my transmission in his car...

As for the remote hatch release - uh don't really see the value in it. My 280ZX has it and its useful because the rear hatch requires a key to unlock it. Its simple enough to use the release before you go to the back instead of putting the key in and turning it. On the 370Z its a non issue (unless I go through the boarder and the need to open the hatch which I've never encountered but if I do I think I can walk him through the "hit the big long button to open - the small button is to arm the alarm") because its keyless.

All the 370Zs here in Canada have the auto diming rearview mirror... was that stock on all 350Zs or an option?

Put me down for...

- Side view heated mirrors (a non-issue as of the 2010 model)
- Tire Presure readout

i dont miss the 350z at all actually. i had many opportunities to buy one but the car just never really appealed to me. the shape, the wheels, interior, etc. just not there.

the 370Z on the otherhand, caught my attention.

1. I liked the heavier steering
2. It's hard to explain but the 350 wasn't as soft so it gave me more feedback, in a nutshell it felt more mechanical like a go kart
3. Exhaust note
4. Shift knob (it was flat on the backside so it was more comfortable to use)
5. you could actually use the little window to see your blind spot
6. most of all I miss the low end torque

When the 350z was introduced, all I could see were the ripped-off Audi TT styling riffs. I applauded the fact that Nissan brought back a Z, but I was disappointed in the execution.

By contrast, I don't see ANY derivative styling on the 370z, even though it shares a lot of the 350z elements. In fact, when I went to a meet last month, I was amazed at how similar the two cars are. But that certainly was not my primary impression.

Only features I wish our cars still had:
* digital speedo (had this in the RX-8 and grew to love it)
* sunglasses holder (they fit sideways in the center dash compartment, if you don't have nav)
* individual tire pressure readouts
* better rear 3/4 view!

But I'm happy to trade all of this for a car that IMHO handles better, is faster, and has its own clear styling identity. I've had zero problems in 6 months of ownership.

I certainly do not regret the Cayman I was originally going to buy. The Cayman was a bit too refined -- you have to be going scary-fast to get the same level of excitement that the Z gives in everyday driving. I love my Z!!

Still, the 370's looks are too sweet to ignore. I'm keeping my '04.5 Touring Coupe, though

There are three things I really wish carried over from the 350Z to the 370Z.

1. The glasses holder
2. The digital speedometer.
3. The oil pressure gauge.

They stopped this after '06, but for the '06 you could see the exact pressure for each individual tire, versus a dummy warning light. I loved being able to monitor any reductions via the gauge.

Sorry for bringing back a really old thread, I never had a 350z...it never appealed to me like the 370 did, but I did notice that you guys missed something else.

Other than the digital speedo, individual tpms, and better looking side view mirrors....I really liked the slope of the dash, it was a lot more sloped, a little like the 300zx or NSX. The 370z dash, although better overall, misses that Lamborghini feel dash-wise. Also, the door handles on the 350 were aluminum...ours are plastic
