As it turns out the installer was visiting the wrong page for the steering wheel control unit so I pointed them in the right direction and the trunk lock mechanism was evidently unhooked by accident when my reverse camera was installed.The lead tech had to crawl in the trunk and pull the panels to access the lock to open the hatch.Crisis averted!
