I have fixed mine and both sides are now equal in tightness.

No what I am saying is that a radiator has to be mounted in such a way to allow it to expand as the car warms up. Perhaps this is the reason for the "loose" connection and it is not a defect.

^ I think thats possible. Have you tried warming up the car to full operating temp and then checking it again?
