Default s-mode warning

Hi everyone,

So I was riding the other day and the warning S-mode light came on in my car, not sure what what the meaning of it so I started researching it on the forum but couldn't get a clear answer on what was wrong. Hopefully its just a sensor but Does anyone have any clear answers on what the issue is.

Thanks,

I have the same thing currently. I did the neutral position sensor reset, and that didn't work. Then I replaced the neutral sensor and that still hasn't worked. I'll be having my buddy read the BCM codes to find out what's wrong. Basically you need a Nissan or equivalent scanner that reads more than just the ECU to check for the error code.

If you want to try to reset the neutral position, try this:

got a picture of the warning light? is it an actual warning on the left side or just the blinkin n?

mine was blinking N but no warning lights.

when I was getting my tune what DIRK posted was what my tuner did to reset the 'neutral' position in the car and it was fine.

usually happens for a few reasons and MAY or MAY NOT happen
1) tranny work
2) clutch work
3) shifter work
4) ecu resetting/flashing

Hey I don't have a picture of it but it did say warning on the left, and I did recently have some clutch work done.
