How do you drive around trucks ?

I often change lanes beneath lifted pick up trucks for fun Seriously, though, I just try to make sure they see me. I'll speed up or slow down to avoid

Seriously, though, I just try to make sure they see me. I'll speed up or slow down to avoid their blind spot as well as ensure that I don't change lanes into it.

Otherwise, its no different that any other driver on the road. Sedan drivers on their phone are much worse than the avg truck driver. You must have faith that the other drivers are not going to run you off the road, and you have to be prepared for when they try it

So very right. This past Friday I was behind a car that barely maintained lines for well over 2 miles. It was obvious they either had a liquid lunch or was on the darn phone. I came >ThisClose< to calling 911. Probably should ahve.

I see it all the time, the old days of people talking on the phone aren't as bad as people texting and playing around on Facebook ,social media, playing games not looking at the road. It is hard to tell drunk from a distracted driver, but a distracted driver is more dangerous.

As for driving around trucks, just like everyone else said; give them a wide berth, and pass them when it's safe to do so. Most truck drivers with any real experience realize and appreciate that they make other drivers nervous, so they tend to give additional warning time and make every attempt to ensure that they are clear before making lane changes. However, there is only so much they can do if you are not paying attention, or choose to ignore the warnings they give you. And if you don't know enough about driving by now to know that you never pass a truck on the right side anywhere near an intersection or turn off, then there may not be much help for you.

However, there are always those drivers who either don't care, or who are not paying attention, who will do lane changes with no warning (considering the number of regular people who do this on a regular basis, i.e. lazy pricks, this shouldn't be that much of a surprise), or making even bigger sweeping turns then that necessarily need to, you always need to keep an eye out and be ready to react. A good mentality to have with every other fool you meet on the roads, regardless of what they drive.
