clicking driver door

...when I have pulled my door open about a foot, I hear very soft click-click...but if I close immediately, and then pull open again, I don't hear it again...anyone else?

Do you know about the window rolling down a bit when you open the door? Maybe you are hearing that or it's relay.

The steering wheel locks when you open the car door after shutting down the engine. Maybe this is the noise you are hearing?

I do know about the windows rolling down, but I know it's not the window rolling down that's making the noise...it's a clicking noise that clicks after I pull the door open about a foot

Exactly, it's the relay for it. There's a delay to the relay, ok?

You hear the same sound when you do the window reset proceedure. Window moves, a second or two passes, "tick"
