Another annoying feature on newer MT cars is hill brake assist. Faking feels like da car is going to stall.

Ah yes, the "hill-holder" brake assist developed by Bendix, and first optional on the 1936 Studebaker..... one of the "newer MT cars." 😏

I've never experienced it... but yea kinda takes away the fun of moving your feet fast

yah, but the Z's lagging throttle response, its better to just use srv on this car.

going uphill from a stop i just blip the throttle while im still holding the brake and engage the clutch. there is no fast moving feet. the only time i use e-brake is backing out of a down hill parking spot. but then u introduce hill assist braking, the faking brakes do not release when u want it to which can potentially cause a stall.

my STI has this feature i really dont need.

I noticed that when it was off which is not that big of an issue when just cruising but when you started getting spirited it was like really clunky. haven't tried as much after the tune srv off... waiting for warmer weather first lol

is the hill assist/brake assist on/off switch or always on?

im not sure. i think one might be able to defeat it somehow, but i haven't messed with it. i dont usually let the car roll anyway so it's not a big deal but that first few times when the car was brand new and while i was still familiarizing myself with the car, it bothered me.
