I drove them through two PA winters. They're okay in cold temps as long as you drive conservatively on them, because they do kinda turn into plastic shopping cart wheels. So no slaloms. Now, I don't make a habit of driving my car in the snow, but I did once get caught in a snow drift (didn't see it over a hill). If there is one flake of snow on the ground, these tires are worthless and you'll be in a ditch. I got a sink-or-swim lesson in drifting as a bus came the other direction...😳 Since I DD my car, I went with the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 this time around. They're okay. Probably as good as you could expect from an A/S tire. It just starting getting really cold here and the grip in cold is better, for sure. Summer traction of course isn't as good. I did run them on a track day, actually, and while the ultimate grip limits aren't as high, they really held their own. If I could dedicate my car to warm weather/track only, I'd seriously consider buying the SO4s again.

I daily my Z because I can't afford a winter beater. $1000 bought me stock 18s and Michelin winter/snow tires. I've never gotten stuck, even with what happened last year...except when over 6" of snow of course.

Uh, yeah. They fit perfectly, well as perfect as sunken in, tucked wheels can be. $500 for the wheels used, and the tires weren't that much through my local non-associated dealer.
