It's time to get new tires for my 370Z 2010 Sport.

I've used a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport (front/rear) two times without any claim.

Now I'm hesitating to choose between the Michelin PSS again or Hankook Ventus V12 EVO2.

Usually I enjoy my driving on local and freeway (no track) - not so fast.

Any suggestion..??

* I searched the Hankook V12 EVO2 on this forum, but failed to find out any proper articles.

I haven't experience the Hankook on the 370z, but I've heard pretty good things about that specific tire. It's certainly a good performance value. Hard to tell if you'll notice a huge performance difference by going with it as opposed to the PSS.

If you're not going to do any spirited driving like canyon carving or track?

Hankook tires are your choice.

I had Hankook tires once, and the first time I hit the canyons I found out why they were so popular?

They're cheap. :ugh2:

almost as bad as oil threads =P

almost. but we all know the best oil is extra virgin olive oil.

also consider the re-11's... around same range as the PSS.

I bought mine with the Hankooks on them. They're okay. Not the best. I personally wouldn't get them again.

Michelin PSS are really good. Loved the grip.

Have you checked other sizes? You can put 285, 295, or even 305 on the rear sport rims.

Go down to a 30 profile if you go with the 295 or 305 sizes. This will keep the overall tire diameter closer to stock, which will keep your speedometer more accurate.

Don't get the Hankooks. You get what you pay for :ugh:

I've decided to try the BFGoodrich gForce COMP-2 A/S. Put about 200 miles on them with no issues so we'll see.

All seasons don't belong on a sports car IMO, but many people do it. Hope they work out for you.

You can also put 225s on the rear for that awesome stretched look.:ugh2:

OP: Don't ever do this. I'm just messing with JAR.

No comparison between the two. If you just cruise to work and back the V12s will be fine, any spirited driving though and you will quickly regret getting them.

Hankooks are decent..especially for the price. But they do seem like they wear quickly.

I put some new Goodyear Eagle GT (somthing?) tires on my 350z when I had it. Those tires were great...good price, great handling in most conditions. I think they are an all-season tire.
