I did do seat heaters and yes I took all the seats out. It was a lot of work but not too hard. I would do it again over paying someone to do it. Heated seats are great.

I did it too, i bought my kit from leatherseats.com.. I also did heated seat sensors too, the result was fantastic, and believe it or not, I had people compare their oem leather seats to mine, and liked my setup a lot more than their setup..

I bought some leather seat covers on ebay couple of years ago and the quality is much better than oem cause it was Italian leather. Was 800.00 but well worth it installed it myself. Had to take off the existing cloth for oem fit...almost 3 years old leather still looks new.

Ill take pictures when I get home, I am at work right know. Not difficult at all just 4 bolts on each side of the seats unplug air bag harness make sure you disconnect battery or airbag light will be on. Rip out existing cloth and nylon zip ties to install new leather seats.

Sooo.......... who's car is it? Yours or hers?
If you're not married then she has NO say so on what you buy. The woman that I was dating at the time told me "If you buy the Z over that BMW that I like more then it could be a deal breaker between us". I bought the Z and she went out the door. Buy the car with the options that makes you happy and can afford and don't appease others in that decision. You're the one who has to drive and pay for it.

Soon to be married... . I too, would like leather seats in the Z. My last 370z had the touring package, and my current Q60 has leather (obviously). I would prefer to have heated leather, but I don't want to pay the extra to have the touring package on a new Z. In my area, I would be looking at adding an additional $7-8K on top of the Sport package price...and that's IF I can find one.
