trade my Z for a bmw 135i?

The mod potential of those cars are insane, $500 for the JB4 tune a CAI and some exhaust mods and you knocking down Vettes in the 1/4, something it'll take

The mod potential of those cars are insane, $500 for the JB4 tune a CAI and some exhaust mods and you knocking down Vettes in the 1/4, something it'll take thousands for the Z to accomplish. Your bored with the Z and there's nothing more you can do, but move on so good luck with the new ride man.
P.S. Dibs on the side splitters if you decide to sell them........ LOL.

JC-Nismo, awesome response, you're thinking what I'm thinking. It's not like I bought the Z a week ago and haven't enjoyed it, I have had a blast mashing the gas every chance I get and sliding around curves. I'm all about progression and this bad boy is tapped out as far as potential (finances considered). I think it looks almost perfect and there is nothing really more to do. It's also fun making an ugly car a good looking high performer. I'm missing the hobbyist aspect.

I love those side splitters too. Carmax was very gracious and complimentary about the mods. The appraiser mentioned they were tastefully done. They were okay with the exhaust being extremely loud (sounds gorgeous though). I'm not desperate or anything, just looking for some more fun driving. It's tough when bike season is over in Chicago. It's going to be a long time before I get on my zx6r

What year zx6r? I have an 05 636 for over 10 years original owner. Thing is a beast full powercommander and full exhaust with headers bmc air filber keeps up with 1000cc love it. New 636 are sweet with mods like have and being much lighter should be awesome.

Wow we have identical bikes. Mine is the exactly the same as yours minus the header. This was my first season with the PC and wow what a difference. Case in point, your bike wasn't fast enough for you, that's why you modded it. Part of the reason I got the bike was because the Z wasn't fast enough for me, and that was 3 years ago.

Guess what color mine is, hahahaha. Do you think I have enough decals, I think it needs more? (kidding I swear) It's such an awesome bike.

Actually, not enough decals lol..I had to get those cheap ebay fairings because some drunk jerk with no insurance walked in front of my bike late night and I ended up damaging the oem fairings. Suprisingly the ebay fairings fit like oem.

Thanks buddy, I love that bike. It's always been good to me. I repainted pretty much the entire bike. Lower fairings gloss black, gas tank and cover were rusted when I bought it so I painted those too. Good old spray can from paintscratch.com. Great match.

I agree Sunkist all the way, but remember this is not about looks, only power. I have had the same relationship with my Z as you have. I have enjoyed it as much as anyone could enjoy a car. I have driven it to it's full potential on the streets (or my full potential better stated). I have mashed on the gas and driven the car as it should be driven.

what a great group of people on both this forum and 1addicts. I didn't think both sides would be so objective and unbiased regarding your responses. I appreciate it way more than you know. I'm getting fantastic feedback from both parties. I posted this on a bmw forum as well and the response is similar. They are all very welcoming of the Z many commend it as well.

Well with the 135 you can get the GO factor you are looking for, with FI thats the game here, people saying the 135 is ugly is also not true, in my opinion its a nice looking little car, i would definitely support the jump! better interior newer car and lets all agree much faster (bolt ons and tune). just know that maintenance and BMW parts are much more pricier than the Z with everything said id say go for the 135 but try and find something with lower miles. UPDATE us! GL

Why is it that bmw created the 2 series and discontinued the 1series if they themselves think it was fugly

I raced an i135 and 335xi, both were JB4 tuned, I was able to beat the 335, but the 135 gave me the *** whooping of my life, it was also on meth.

My brother has an 09 m3 so yes they are nice cars to drive but I do not like bmws period. I am more of a merc man as I had a 99 500cl which was awesome but had to sell because it ate too much gas. I know bmw has reliability problems because my sister has a 99 3series she wants to drive of the cliff. Only german cars I like are Porsche and mercs.
