It doesn't. It's actually heavier than the HD CSC. It comes with a big metal bracket that bolts up to the outside of the transmission for one end of the external slave. And the other end bolts up to a big metal fork that connects it to the transmission. Either of these metal pieces probably weighs more than the HD CSC. Plus the slave cylinder is much bigger and holds more fluid.
