I can see them building this car, but badging it as a z is just ridiculous. Nissan will lose a ton of enthusiast credibility.

I can understand the "business case" argument, but isn't there a business argument for generating brand excitement? 98% of Nissan customers can't afford a GTR, and after that the next most "sporty" car is the Maxima. I'd hate for Nissan to turn into Toyota, where other than the FR-S, there is NOTHING intriguing in that entire lineup. Same with Honda, actually, since the NSX is apparently going to be delayed until 2037.
