If I was a gambling man? I'm almost sure lack of sales ended the $500 upcharge on limited run colors. I bet, probably magma red and midnight blue were supposed to be upcharge colors till sales declined???? Then they probably turned into using those colors as a strategies to boost sales???
DISCLAIMER: Second paragraph is just me guessing. HOLDS NO WEIGHT as fact.
I wouldn't dare disagree with you. Those were the only three colors I considered when shopping for my Z.

The mantra "Nissan has poor paint quality", often parroted here by people who have no actual information, has risen to the level of Urban Legend.

Do you have some actual information that supports that statement?

I can say the comment about the bumpers not matching was 100% correct.
