My first instinct is to say that your tires are loosing their stickiness. But after reading the posts ahead of me, I think it is pretty neat if they actually have a 3k mi break-in

Jeeze you guys are gullible..... Your ECU is fully adapted within a 100 miles...

Doing the burnouts is reducing the diameter of your rear tires, so it feels faster, just like putting in gears... The Vette guys do this all the time. Keep it up and you'll learn the true meaning of "break" in...


Uh....Just for the suckers, that's a joke too...

The reality is, this motor is tight when new (reason for high oil temps) As it breaks in and loosens up, clearances improve, friction is reduced and oil temps go down. Some motors take longer to reach their sweet spot than others. The VQ seems one of those that takes awhile. At 4K mine is stronger now than ever...

The break-in period isn't over until your "V-TAK" kicks in.

in my case i got impatient and ran smaller profile on my dd... 55 to 50.

and it has VTEC...so i must be going real fast by now..
