Personally, I'd rather have the C7 on the street or on the track. Mine will be my DD so I will be driving it quite a bit. Quote:

I wanted a GT-R at one point......and then I learned how to drive a manual. Not so much after that :roflpuke2: |
Auto>manual. All day. I cant see anyone in the right mind wanting a manual ANYthing over a GTR
GTR is still the most capable all inclusive platform on thr planet |

Not saying the GT-R is bad. I definitely respect its performance capabilities, but that's just one part of the car ownership experience. I've never driven a GT-R, but I have ridden in modded GT-R's. I think I might have the same problem with its size that I did with the Mustang I drove. Of course the GT-R can definitely handle it's size, but it's about driving experience preference at that point. GT-R's never gonna sound as good (to me) as something with 8+ cylinders. Subjective again, but I don't think it looks good either. The C7 for me checked off all the boxes for what I was looking for in my next car. Had the performance, looks, interior, features, sound, and driving experience. Though the FPC V8 on the new GT350 had me thinking hard about getting one. |

I absolutely would turn it down if it was mine to buy. obviously the car is beasty. I also agree that manuals are at a disadvantage when compared to a good auto or dct. however, IMHO, it takes part of the fun out of driving (never driven Godzilla but have had the chance to flog a pdk Cayman and drive a dct M3). now give me one and I would drive it mercilessly. that said if it was my money I would buy the upcoming Cayman GT4 in 6MT. Different strokes. |

I just hate the styling of american cars :shakes head: I also live in Oklahoma, so corvettes are a dime a dozen here. I guess the location has really jaded my appetite for american styling. |

I mean they finally switched because they obviously think it is a better system, but I guess they were waiting to see how cheap they could make the mustang IRS

The Z is stable too but you feel your speed more. It's the only thing leaning me Z way. I'll go to jail in a vette on the street. |

Just my driving style. I had a similar situation in the camaro, but the camaro, when you're in it you feel fine cruising. Me personally. I want to keep pushing the vette. I want to take it to its limits. It's just the way it feels. F*#k a f#*kin FRS... No comparison to a Z. Frs is torque-less, powerless and though it winds out Ok for street driving. Go on the highway and you're doing nothing. That said, the Z is perfect to feel like you're doing something on street and highway. The vette, you instantly feel the track ability of the car even in normal driving. If I'm on the street 90% of the time... Corvette is a lot of car. Not saying I wouldn't consider it. I'm just waiting for all these 16's to release before I make a decision. The corvette is one of the sickest cars I've driven. But nterested in the upcoming camaro as well. As they gear them more for the street. I did drive the vette only in sport mode though. I wouldn't know what comfort feels like. |
